William D. Hutchens

About the Author

     William D. Hutchens was born in Johnstown, N.Y. in 1932. He is the son of Harold W. and Genevieve B. Hutchens, His grandfather, William C. Hutchens, was Frank Hutchens’ brother.   As a youngster, Bill Hutchens met his Uncle Frank at Hutchens’ Mill House in Silvermine, Conn. Hutchens was graduated from Dartmouth College and served in the United States Navy.       

After his service in the Navy, Hutchens received his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.        

     Hutchens joined the Price Waterhouse accounting firm in New York City in 1958. He was admitted to the partnership in 1969 and served as Managing Partner in Syracuse, N.Y. until 1987.     

     He authored the book “Livingston Lake — 1901-2001” and several hunting and adventure articles for a variety of newspapers and magazines.      

He lives in Central New York with his wife, Caryl. He has a son, William D., a daughter, Nancy Reif, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
